The response to the HiPNOTT Records 2010 Takeover mixtape [download] has been simply overwhelming. With well over 1,000 downloads so far, we are gonna continue to push the tape until we release Volume 2 in February. Everyone seems to have their favorite track from the mixtape and one of our favs is “Down (The Armegeddon Theme)” by Tiye Phoenix. This track takes hip hop to a whole new level for 2010, as the triple threat Tiye Phoenix rapped, produced the beat, and sang the hook.
