HiPNOTT Records lets a second track loose, preempting the release of the 2010 Takeover Vol. 2 mixtape dropping February 15, 2010. “Gone in Sixty Seconds” by Spectac & Amiri is a horn-heavy, jazzy number that echoes the level of talent which landed the duo territory on Billboard’s Top 100 Hip-Hop / R&B list in 2003. “Gone in Sixty Seconds” is true to the laid-back, strictly hip-hop vibe of Volume 2.
2010 Takeover Vol. 1, released 30 days prior to the Vol. 2 release date, was met with a fury of positive reviews throughout the Net and received well over 2,000 downloads in just over three weeks. The second volume will feature more artists from HiPNOTT’s roster as well as exclusives from some of hip-hop’s hottest underground acts. The label leaked Vol. 2 track “Doing Things Wrong” by ArtOfficial earlier this month and will reveal more details about the mixtape in the days leading up to its February 15, 2010 release date.
Look out for Spectac & Amiri’s debut on HiPNOTT Records, Almost Famous, dropping April 13th!
