Thus far in 2010, HiPNOTT Records has released Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of their two-part 2010 Takeover mixtape, The Creator’s Kid EP by Cymarshall Law, and album A Day in the Life by K. Sparks produced by G.C. The public’s response to these projects has been an average of 2,500 known downloads for each volume of 2010 Takeover, and both The Creator’s Kid EP and A Day in the Life have received ample sales numbers so far and even better reviews and feedback from media outlets such as HIPHOPDX.com, URB.com and more. The artists and management teams are pleased with the results and impact their music has made and are already planning their next HiPNOTT projects.
“As the new kid on the block, HiPNOTT has made our presence known with the 2010 Takeover mixtapes and with the signing of seasoned artists such as Cymarshall Law, K. Sparks, Spectac and Jermiside,” label owner, Kevin Nottingham said. “I think people are starting to take notice and realize that we plan to be here awhile.”
